1.31 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> September 8, 1975 <br /> <br />REPORT~ RE: POPULATION PROJECTIONS <br /> The City Council met at 7:00 PoM., to discuss population projections. <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar and Mr. Harris reviewed information related to population projections <br />and impact on the General Plan. <br /> <br /> Council decided to schedule a joint meeting with the Planning Commission regard- <br />ing this matter on October 6, 1975, 8:00 P.M., Pleasanton Justice Court. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Edward Kinney called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br />8:25 PoM., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney were present. <br />Mr. Edgar, City Manager, Mr. Scheidtg, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Assistant City <br />Manager/Director of Public Works, Mr. Bowling, Director of Housing and Community <br />Development, Mr. Harris, Director of Planning, Mr. Sooby, Director of Engineering <br />Services, and Mr. Cherry, Fire Captain, were .present. <br /> <br /> Mr. Scheidig introduced Mr. Harvey Levine, the new Deputy City Attorney for <br /> the City who will begin work on September 22, 1975. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Councilmember McLain requested that the Minutes of August 25, 1975, be corrected <br />on page 4 under Report, Re: Lease of City and County of San Francisco Lan~,to indi- <br />cate that staff investigate the feasibility of a pilot program of water purification <br />on this land. <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by Councilmember Herlihy, <br /> that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved as amended: <br /> <br /> a. Approval of City Council Minutes for August 25, 1975, as amended, and August 28, <br /> 1975o <br /> <br />b. Acceptance of report of the Planning Commission regarding action taken on items <br /> at their meeting of August 28, 1975. <br /> <br /> co Proclaim September 17-23, 1975, as Constitution Week in Pleasantono <br /> <br />d. Adoption of Resolution No. 75-186, accepting Santa Rita Road Project, Black <br /> Avenue to Amador High School, Street Improvement Project No. 75-2, and final <br /> payment to Gone Caldeira Grading and Paving Company, in the amount of <br /> $30,883.09, and authorization to file Notice of Completion. <br /> <br /> e. Adoption of Resolution No. 75-187, approving progress payment No. 4, to Chalet <br /> Construction Company, in the amount of $23,710.55, for work completed thusfar <br /> on Cultural Arts Building. <br /> <br /> Adoption of Resolution No. 75-188, accepting Grant of Easement from Alameda <br /> County Flood Control and Water Conservation District. <br /> <br />g. Adoption of Resolution No. 75-189, accepting Public Service Easement, Parcel <br /> Map 1741. <br /> <br />h. Adoption of Resolution No. 75-190, authorizing signing of 1975 Strategic Team <br /> Enforcement Program Agreement. <br /> <br /> <br />
