He also stated he was opposed to any tax rate in- <br />crease and requested City Council and the City Manager to find ways to reduce <br />the Budget° Mr. Edgar informed Mr. Resare there would be a report on the <br />sewer problem presented at the City Councilmeeting of September 8, 1975. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jim 3ordan, 7218 Stonedale Drive, stated he was opposed to any increase <br />in garbage rate and City tax rate. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tom Underhill, 5515 San Juan Way, advised the Council of odors he has <br />noticed at the Sewage Treatment Plant° He asked if there was a way to credit <br />recyclable products to the City, under the garbage fee item. Staff advised <br />that the figures before the Council included recyclable profits. Mr. Underhill <br />also stated he felt that increasing the dump rate fee would encourage residents <br />to dump garbage at places other than the dump rather than pay a higher rate. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER (Contd.) <br />Establish 1975-76 City Tax Rate <br /> Mr, Edgar and Mr. Walker presented the staff report dated August 19, 1975, <br />regarding this matter° <br /> <br /> Council discussion ensued regarding the Housing Specialist requested by <br />the Department of Housing and Community Development, and additional personnel <br />for the Department of Public Safety. Council requested more information on <br />this matter and Mayor Kinney declared this item continued to a Special Meeting <br />to be held on August 28, 1975, 4:30 P.M., at the City Hall Conference Room. <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mr. Edgar presented a report on Population Projections. Council request this <br />matter be placed on the agenda of September 8, 1975, for further review. <br /> <br />Acceptance of Public Service Easement~ Parcel Map 1700 <br /> Mr. Edgar presented the report of the DireCtor of Engineering Services, dated <br />August 25, 1975, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Philcox, and seconded by Councilmember Herlihy, <br />that Resolution No~ 75-181, accepting Public Service Easement, ParcelMap 1700, <br />be adopted. <br /> <br /> 4. 8/25/75 <br /> <br /> <br />
