101 MINUTES of THE MEETING of THE CITY COUNCIL August 11, 1975 CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG Mayor Edward Kinney called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 8:00 PoM., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. ROLL CALL Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney were present. Mr~ Edgar, City Manager, Mr. Scheidig, City Attorney, Mr. Bowling, Director of Housing and Community Development, and Mr o Walker, Assistant to the City Manager, were present. Also present was Joseph E. Coomes, Jr., Deputy General Counsel for Pleasanton Redevelopment Agency. AGENDA AMENDMENTS ~ Mr. Edgar requested that one item be added to the agenda as item 5d - Resolu- tion accepting purchase of 3.65~ acres of land east of 1-680 and west of the present Stoneridge Drive. Councilmember McLain requested that a correction be made to the Minutes of July 28, 1975, page 4, changing SB-458 to AB 1485, under Legislation. CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by Councilmember McLain, that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved as amended: as Approval of City Council Minutes for July 28, 1975, as amended, and August 4~ 1975~ b~ Acceptance of Report of the Planning Commission, regarding action taken on items at their meeting of August 4, 1975. c. Proclaim September as "United Way Month"° The roll cail vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney NOES: None ABSENT: None Councilmember Philcox and Mayor Kinney abstained from voting on the Minutes of July 28, 1975, due to their absence from this meeting. Councilmembers Herlihy and McLain abstained from voting on the Minutes of August 4, 1975, due to their absence from this meeting~ SPECIAL ITEMS Approval of Memorandum of Understandin~ betwee~ the Ci.t~ and IAFF~ Local 1974 Mr. Edgar presented the resolution and Memorandum of Understanding regarding this matter. It was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by Councilmember McLain, that Resolution No. 75-169, accepting the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Pleasanton and the International Association of Firefighters, Local 1974, and fixing salaries and conditions of employment for enumerated classes of ~mplo~ees, and amending the Budget accordingly, be adopted~ The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney NOES: None ABSENT: None
