<br />that Ordinance No. 766, to be read by title only and waiving further reading
<br />thereof, amending Section 4-1.23, Article 1, Chapter 2 (Special Permits), Title
<br />IV (Health, Safety, Moral and General Welfare) of the Ordinance Code of the City
<br />of Pleasanton relating to solicitation in the public streets, be introduced.

<br />Letter from Francis Headley
<br /> Mr. Campbell presented a letter from Francis B. Headley, 1640 Orchard Way,
<br />dated July 6, 1975, regarding what he felt was negativism action by the City
<br />Council~ Mayor Kinney stated the City Council was very positively oriented,
<br />and that opposition to certain matters was not ~egativism.

<br />Letter from Dro Edward W. Schlies
<br /> Mr~ Campbell presented a letter from Dr. Edward W. Schlies, dated July 9,
<br />1975, regarding connection to the sewer line installed by Morrison Homes.
<br />Mayor Kinney referred this item to staff for report and recommendation at the
<br />Council meeting of July 28, 1975.

<br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS
<br /> Mayor Kinney reported on theMayors' Conference meeting, which was hosted
<br />by Pleasanton at the Alameda CoUnty Fairgrounds on July 2, 1975.
<br />
<br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS
<br /> Councilmember McLain requested the City Attorney to look into proposed
<br />legislation regarding notation on back of driver's licenses as to whether or
<br />not a person wishes to donate vital organs in case of fatal accident.
<br />
<br /> Councilmember McLain requested the Mayor to contact Alameda County re-
<br />garding construction of a gate on SantosRoad, to be kept locked at all times.
<br />
<br /> Councilmember LeClatre asked staff to look into the spontaneous used car
<br />lot apparently existing on Hopyard Road near West Las Positas.
