PUBLIC HEARINGS Application of the Plannin~ Commission to establish a new land use zoning district - the proposed Hillside Planned Development District. This district could be established only in areas having an average slope greater than ten percent and in such areas would regulate intensity of development by corre- lating density with slop.e Mr. Scheidig presented his report dated July 9, 1975, regarding this matter. The Council asked questions of the City Attorney regarding application of ordi- nance to individual parcels. City Attorney indicated ordinance would encourage consolidation of parcels and did not apply to recorded lots or approved tenta- tive maps. Mayor Kinney declared the public hearing open~ No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to this item. Mayor Kinney declared the public hearing closed. After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Philcox, and seconded by Councilmember LeClaire, that Ordinance No. 763, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, amending Section 2-5.05, 2-6.14 and Section 2-5.36, Chapter 2 (Zoning), Title II (Zoning and Development) and the addition of Article 32 (Hillside Planned Development District "H-P-D") to Chapter 2, Title Ilof the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton, all relating to -- hillside development, be introduced. Mayor Kinney declared the public hearing open. Mr. Frank Auf der Maur, 735 Pico Avenue, applicant, stated he would answer any questions Council might have regarding this item. Council did not have any questions. No one spoke in opposition to this item. Mayor Kinney declared the public hearing closed. It was moved by Councilmember McLain, and seconded by Councilmember Herlihy, that Ordinance No. 764, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, prezoning approximately 3.06 acres located at 3482 Stanley Boulevard, and known as Annexation No. 69, from A (Agricultural as defined by the Zoning Ordinance of Alameda County) District, to C-S (Commercial Service) District, to be effective upon annexation of the property, and amending the Zoning Map accordingly, be introduced. 2. 7/14/75
