<br /> Review of Bidst Award of Contract - FirstStreet Sewer Project
<br /> Mr. Edgar presented the report of the Director of Engineering Services dated
<br /> June 22, 1976, regarding this matter.

<br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Mayor Philcox, that
<br /> Resolution No. 76-161, awarding bid for Sanitary Sewer Improvements- First,
<br /> Arendt, and Second Streets, Project No. 76-2, to Ernest E. Pestana, Inc., 2225
<br /> Old Oakland Highway, San Jose, in the amount of $57,749.00, and authorizing the
<br /> appropriate City officials to execute the contract, be adopted.
<br /> The roll call vote was as follows:
<br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox
<br /> NOES: None
<br /> ABSENT: None

<br /> Review of Bidsl Award of Contract - Deep Water Pool
<br /> Mr. Edgar presented the reports of the Director of Engineering Services dated
<br /> June 23, 1976, and the Recreation Superintendent dated June 24, 1976, regarding
<br /> this matter.
<br />
<br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes,
<br />that Resolution No. 76-162, awarding bid for Amador Valley Community Park - Deep
<br />Water Pool, State Project No~ 01-0013, to Geremia Pools, Inc., 3876 Santa Rita
<br />Road, Pleasanton, in the amount of $100,109.00, and authorizing the appropriate
<br />City officials to execute the contract, be adopted.
<br />The roll call vote was as follows:
<br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox
<br />NOES: None
<br />ABSENT: None

<br />Approval of Final Management Sala~ Resolutions
<br /> Mro Edgar presented his report dated June 24, 1976, regarding this matter.
<br />
<br /> Mayor Philcox stated it was the consensus of the City Council to increase the
<br />salaries of the City Manager and City Attorney by 5%.
<br />
<br /> Councilmember LeClaire stated she felt 5% was not sufficient salary increase
<br />for management personnel as they deserved a larger increase than rank and file
<br />employees.
<br />
<br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes,
<br />that Resolution No. 76-163, approving the Compensation Plan for top management,
<br />City Attorney appointed, individually negotiated, middle management, and confidential
<br />employees, a~damending the 1976-77 Budget accordingly, be adopted.
<br />The roll call vote was as follows:
<br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox
<br />NOES: Councilmember LeClaire
<br />ABSENT: None

<br />that Resolution No. 76-164, establishing salary and fringe benefits for the City
<br />Attorney, and amending the 1976-77 Budget accordingly, be adopted°

<br />NOES: Councilmember LeClaire
