479 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> June 21, 1976 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor B~bert Philcox called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council <br /> to order at 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox were present. Council- <br />member Brandes was absent. Mr. Edgar, City Manager, Mr. Scheidig, City Attorney, <br />Mr. Campbell, Assistant City Manager/Director of Public Works, Mr. Harris, Director <br />of Planning, Mr. Sooby, Director of Engineering Services, Mr. Dutchover, Senior <br />Engineering Technician, and Mr. Lamb, Traffic Engineer, were present. <br /> <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> There were no agenda amendments presented at this meeting. <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, <br /> that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved: <br /> <br />a. Adoption of Ordinance No. 788, approving application of Valley Plaza for final <br /> development plan approval for the final phase of PUD-73-2, a commercial center <br /> located at the northwest corner of Santa Rite Road and Valley Avenue, zoning <br /> for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) District. <br /> <br />b. Adoption of Resolution No. 76-145, approving amendment to Agreement regarding <br /> CETA. <br /> <br />c. Adoption of Resolution No. 76-146, consenting to allow construction of a <br /> Meterological Tower on land leased from City and County of San Francisco. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Brandes <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE'PUBLIC <br /> No'one ./n the audience addressed the Chair. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> There were no Public Hearings scheduled for this meeting. <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> There were no matters continued for decision scheduled for this meeting. <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br />Report of. the City Counci! Committee, Re: Donated Sculpture <br /> Councilmember Herlihy reported that the Ark Bicentennial Art Project will <br />create and build a metal sculpture which will depict the contribution of the <br />migrant farm worker to the settlement and development of the Amador Valley. The <br />sculpture will be designed and created by the children of the Ark Children's <br />Service. They will be supervised and assisted by the artist, Mr. R. A. Miller, <br />who will be hired for the project. <br /> <br /> Mr. R. A. Miller, artist, presented a scaled model of the sculpture, entitled <br />"A Place of Peace", for the Council to view° <br /> <br /> <br />
