Appeal of the decision of. the Ci. tyManager that an Environmental Impact Report <br />is not ~equired for the relocation of the UnitedPresb.Tterian Commpnity Church <br />of Pleasanton on property located at 4300 Mirador Drive <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated April 20, 1976, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing open~ <br /> <br /> The following persons spoke in favor of the appeal: <br /> <br /> Brian M. Bourg, 451,2 Second Street <br /> Christins Bourg, 4512 Second Street <br /> Bonnie Krichbaum, 303 Neal Street <br /> <br /> Robert Pearson, 3590 Churchill Court, stated he felt a Heritage Building <br />Ordinance should be adopted by City Council to preserve all historical build- <br />ings and sites of value, such as the Presbyterian Churcho <br /> <br /> The following persons spoke in opposition to the appeal: <br /> <br /> Ed Bynum, Chairman of the Building Committee for the Presbyterian <br /> Church <br /> Brian Siebel, representing the Building Committee for the <br /> Presbyterian Church <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Mercer, that Resolution No, 76-94, denying the appeal of the <br />decision of the City Manager than an Environmental Impact Report is not re- <br />quired for the relocation of the United Presbyterian Community Church of <br />Pleasanton on property located at 4300 Miradot Drive, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: Councilmember Herlihy <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Appeal of the Stoneson Dev~e~opment Corp.~ to ~n adverse decision of the Plan- <br />ning Commission regardinS RZ-76-2, an application to fezone approximately 22.7 <br />acres of land located south of Stoneridge Drive and bounded by Stonedale. D~i~e, <br />~old Cr.eek~ an~ InterState ~reeway 680.~ fFom PUD. (Planned Un.i~..Develo.pment) <br />District to R-1-6500 (Sin~l~e Family Residential - 6500 sq. ft. site area pe~ <br />dwelling unit) Distric= <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing open on this item, and continued <br />to the meeting of May 10, 1976, 8:00 P~M., Pleasanton Council Chambers, 30 West <br />Angela Street, at the request of the applicant. <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> There were no matters continued for decision scheduled for this meeting. <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> There were no Special Reports scheduled for this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> There were no reports of Boards and Commissions scheduled for this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Approval of' Plans and Specificationsz and Authorization to call for Bids - <br />Deep Water Pool <br /> Mr~ Sooby presented his report dated April 21, 1976, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer questioned the time schedule, as construction would be <br />done during the busiest time of the Amador Valley Community Park area. Council <br />recommended that the award of bid be timed in such a manner, as legally possible, <br />to prevent undue disruption of the existing swimming facility. <br /> <br /> 4. 4/26/76 <br /> <br /> <br />
