381 <br /> <br /> The City Manager advised the Council that the Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board meets April 20th to consider lifting our current Cease and <br /> Desist Order. <br /> <br /> Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> A letter from Tele-Vue requesting a rate increase has been received, <br /> but due to the amount of staff work required to analyze the request, a <br /> letter has been written to Tele-Vue advising them that this matter will <br /> be reviewed after the adoption of the 1976-77 City Budget. <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> There were no Reports of the City Attorney presented at this meeting. <br /> <br /> COMMUNICATIONS <br /> There were no communications presented at this meeting. <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmembers presented various Committee Reports for the information <br /> of the Council. <br /> <br /> MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> Councilmehlber LeClaire commended Don Sooby and the staff for fast <br /> action on getting P.G.&E. to repair a jarring trench on Greenwood Road. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes asked that the staff check into monitoring <br /> holding tank effluent disposal. Staff will report on this at another <br /> Council meeting. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox discussed the regulation regarding campaign signs,!~Ee- <br /> affirming that they are allowed to be displayed only on private property. <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR <br /> Mr'. Edgar presented the Calendar for the Council's information. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Mayor Philcox recessed the meeting at 12:05, to an Executive Session to <br /> consider the decision of the 1st Appellate District - 4th Division in <br /> International Ass. of Firefighters, Union Local 1974 v. City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> A motion was made by Mayor Philcox, seconded by Councilmember Mercer, <br /> as follows: That the City Attorney be authorized to petition the California <br /> Supreme Court for a hearing of the adverse decision of the Appellate Court <br /> related to the recent Firefighters case. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer and Mayor Philcox <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox reconvened the meeting at 12:25 P.M. <br /> <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business at 12:26 P.M., it was. moved by Council- <br /> member Herlihy, and seconded by Councilmember LeClaire, that the meeting <br /> be adjourned to meet again in Special Session at 7:30 P.M., on April 19, 1976. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Respectfully Submitted, <br /> <br /> -7- 4-12-76 <br /> <br /> <br />
