361, <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />Repor.t~ Re: Ordinance amendin~ Sectio~ 1-2.01~ ArtiCle 1~ Chapter 2~ Title I of <br />the Ordinance Code of ~he City of Pleasanton, relating to the establishment of <br />meeting dates and times for City Council <br /> Mr. Scheidig presented his report dated March 17, 1976, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember LeClatre, <br />that Ordinance No. 781, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, <br />amending Section 1-2.01, Article 1 (City Council), Chapter 2 (Officers and Employees), <br />Title I (Administration), of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton, relating <br />to the establishment of meeting dates and times for City Council, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />ATES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember LeClaire, <br />that Resolution No. 76-71, regarding regular and special meetings of the City <br />Council, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar stated the first possible meeting after adoption of the Ordinance <br />would be around June 7, 1976, and requested Council input regafding type and <br />place of meetings. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />RequeSt by Fr~kA~f' ~r Maur for anneXAtion to the City of property on Stanley <br />Boulevard <br /> Mr. Edgar presented a Communication from Frank Auf der Maur dated March 8, 1976, <br />regarding this matter, and displayed a Map showing location of the property. <br /> <br /> Council referred this matter to staff for preparation of final map to present <br />to City Council for approval before transmittel to the Local Agency Formation Com- <br />mission° <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmembers presented various Committee Reports for the information of the <br />Council. <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> Councilmember Herlihy requested that staff brief the City Council regarding <br />the area on the General Plan whereby St. Mary Street, Bernal Avenue, Main Street <br />and Pleasanton Avenue are designated High Densityand the plan to hand~increase <br />in traffic. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer asked the status on replacement of new Commissioner on <br />the Park and Recreation Commission. Council concurred that the deadline for <br />applications on this replacement would be April 15th, after which interviews <br />and selection would take place. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes stated that in his campaigning the residents of <br />Pleasanton Valley expressed a desire to assist the City in the clean up and <br />landscaping of medians and other areas along Valley Avenue and Hopyard Road, <br />and requested that this possibility be investigated for volunteer assistance. <br />Council discussion ensued. Mr. Edgar suggested this matter be reviewed at <br />the Budget sessions.
