255 <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> March 22, 1976 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Robert Philcox called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br /> 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LoCiairs, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox were present. <br />Mr. Edgar, City Manager, Mr. Scheidig, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Assistant City <br />Manager/Director of Public Works, and Mr. Sooby, Director of Engineering Services, <br />were present. <br /> <br /> AGENDAAMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Edgar stated that with regard to item 6a - the public hearing related to <br />Stoneson Development Corporation has been scheduled for April 26, 1976, instead of <br />April 12, 1976, as shown on the agenda. <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmembe~ LoCiairs, and seconded by Councilmember Herlihy, <br /> that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved: <br /> <br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for March 9, 1976. <br /> <br />b. Proclaim April 18-24, 1976, as Private Property Week in Pleasanton. <br /> <br />c. Adoption of Ordinance No. 780, to rezone approximately 2.4 acres of land located <br /> between the Valley Plaza Commercial Complex and the E1 Rancho Motel on the West <br /> site of Santa Rita Road from A (Agricultural) District to C-C (Central Commercial) <br /> District, and amending the Zoning Map of the City of Pleasanton accordingly. <br /> <br />d. Adoption of Resolution No. 76-67, approving Memorandum of Understanding for Bay <br /> Area Systems Exercise - 1976. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LoCiairs, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmembers Brandes and Mercer abstained from approving portions of Minutes <br />of March 9, 1976, which show action prior to their becoming Councilmembers. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Mr. Leo Heckathorn, 4202 Stanley Blvd., #4, member of CARD, invited City Council <br />and staff to a CARD meeting on March 23, 1976, featuring Robert Pearson speaking on <br />Zone 7. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Application of Stoneson Development Company to rexone approximately 22.7 acres <br />1.0ca~ed" ~.9uth 0~....S~o~eri~e Drive and bounded by stopsdale Drive,. Gold Creek, and <br />Interstate Freeway 680 from PUD (Planned Unit Development) District to R-1-6500 <br />(}ingle Family Residential-6500 ~. ft. site area per dwe..!~in~ unit) District <br />(Contd.
