The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mr. Scheidig explained that this matter would now be referred back to the <br /> Planning Commission for report and recommendation since the City Council had <br /> revised the original Planning Commission recommendation. He further indicated <br /> that after the Council received the Planning Commission recommendation it was <br /> free to adopt whatever action the Council deemed appropriate. <br /> <br />Application of the Plannin~ Commission for a revision to Article 14 .(PUD Planned <br />Unit Development District)~ Chapter 2~ Title II of the Ordinance Code of the <br />.City of Pleasanton which would amend the article ip its entirety <br /> Mr. Scheidig presented the report of the Director of Planning dated November <br /> 3, 1976, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to this item. <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by <br />Councilmember LeClaire, that Ordinance No. 799, to be read by title only and <br />waiving further reading thereof, amending Article 14, Chapter 2 (Zoning), <br />Title II (Zoning and Development), of the Ordinance Code of the City of <br />Pleasanton relating to the Planned Unit Development District,· be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer requested that the square footage per unit be included <br />under Section 2-8.35(d)(a)(iii). Mr. Scheidig indicated that this could be done <br />by an 'amendment which would follow adoption of the ordinance. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox recessed the meeting at 9:30 P.M. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox reconvened the meetin~ at 9:40 P.M. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS (Contd.) <br />Application of the Plannin~ Commission for a revision to Article 20 Home Occu- <br />pations), Chapter 2 (Zonin~), Title II (Zoning and.Deyelopment), of the Ordi- <br />nance Code of the City of Pleasanton~ which would amend Article 20 in its <br />entirety <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated November 3, 1976, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer stated he felt the $15.00 Home Occupation fee for <br />Arts and Grafts designation should be eliminated by making these activities <br />exempt occupations and that the occupant be requested to install proper fire <br />protection devices. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to this item. <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by <br />Councilmember LeClaire, that Resolution No. 76-246, stating the CounciI's <br />intention to amend Article 20 (Home Occupations), Chapter 2 (Zoning), Title <br />II (Zoning and Development), of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton, <br />which would amend Article 20 in its entirety, as proposed with the following <br />changes: include Arts and Crafts as exempt occupations and requiring occu- <br />pants to install propert fire protection devices, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 3. ll/S/76 <br /> <br /> <br />
