This idea was not accepted due to <br />the likelihood of it being celebrated both Saturday and Sunday. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer presented his memorandum dated October 19, <br />1976, regarding Department Assignments and discussed the possibility <br />of each Councilmember being assigned to work with one City department <br />for the budget year.
