Adoption of Resolution No. 76-221, approving Progress Payment No. 2, to <br /> Geremia Pools, Inc., in the amount of $44,538.25, for work on Amador <br /> Valley Community Park, Diving Pool Addition. ~ <br /> <br /> j. Adoption of Resolution No. 76-222, accepting Hopyard Road Bike Path, <br /> approving final payment to Deetz Construction Company, Inc., in the <br /> amount of $1,324.51, and authorizing the City Attorney to file Notice <br /> of Completion on this project. <br /> <br /> k. Proclaim October ~5, 1976, as U. S. Marine Band Day in Pleasanton, and <br /> approving request to hang Banner on the PleasantonMain Street Sign <br /> advertising the Marine Band Concerts. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> No one in the audience addressed the Chair. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox presented a picture that was given to the City by Pacific <br />Telephone Company of Century House, which is on the front cover of the new <br />telephone directory. Mayor Philcox and the City Council expressed appre- <br />ciation to the Telephone Company for this picture. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Application of the Planning Commission for a General Plan amendment to change <br />the land use designation for 4.8 acres of land located on the south side of <br />Vineyard Avenue between Adams Way and ~vis Drive from High Density Residen- <br />tial to Medium Density Residential <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated October 6, 1976, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jack Corley, attorney representing Mr. isola, owner of the subject <br />property, spoke in agreement with the Planning Commission r.ecommendation of <br />denial of the General Plan amendment to change the land use designation on <br />this property. <br /> <br /> There being no further public testimony, Mayor Philcox declared the <br />public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> Mr. Edgar explained that this property is only a portion in the Vineyard <br />Avenue area which is pending rezoning, and that this is the only property <br />requiring a General Plan amendment. <br /> <br /> After considerable discussion, it was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, <br />and seconded by Councilmember Herlihy, that Resolution No. 76-223, approving <br />a General Plan amendment to change the land use designation for 4.8 acres of <br />land located on the south side of Vineyard Avenue between Adams Way and Mavis <br />Drive from High Density Residential to Medium Density Residential, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: Councilmembers Brandes and Mercer <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 2. io/ii/76 <br /> <br /> <br />
