After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by <br /> Councilmember Brandes, that Resolution No. 76-175, adopting the Alameda County <br /> Solid Waste Management Plan, indicating the City of Pleasanton's recommendation <br /> that the Alameda County Solid Waste Management Plan include in future decisions <br /> regarding waste transfer stations a designation that Pleasanton Garbage Service <br /> is the transfer station center for Pleasanton, and authorizattng execution of <br /> the Joint Powers Agreement, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, Mercer, and Vice Mayor LeClaire <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Mayor Philcox <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor LeClaire requested that Council support the City of Alameda <br /> regarding wording in the Solid Waste Management Plan relating to compliance <br /> with the goals of the Plan to allow local plans to exist which are superior <br /> to land disposal of wastes.
