MINUTES of THE MEETING of THE CITY COUNCIL June 13, 1977 EXECUTIVE SESSION RE: LABOR RELATIONS Mayor Philcox and members of the City Council met at 7:30 P.M., with Mr. Campbell, Acting. City Manager; Mr. Scheidig, City Attorney, Mr. Miller, Assistant to the City Manager; and Mr. Fleming, Industrial Employers and Distributors Association; to discuss labor negotiations. CALL TO OPd]ER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG Mayor Robert Philcox called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 8:15 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. ROLL CALL Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox were pre- sent. Mr. Campbell, Acting City Manager, Mr. Scheidig, City Attorney, Mr. Harris, Director of Planning, Mr. Sooby, Director of Engineering Services, Mr. Miller and Mr. Walker, Assistants to the City Manager, were present. AGENDA AMENDMENTS Mr. Campbell requested that one item be added to the agenda as item 4j - Proclaim June 27-July 10, 1977, as Energy Conservation Week in Pleasanton. CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Herlihy, that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved as amended: a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 5-16-77, 5-19-77, and 5-23-77. b. Adoption of Resolution No. 77-157, approving Claims for the month of May, 1977, in the amount of $368,419.95. c. Adoption of Ordinance No. 821, deleting Section 2-7.17(1) and amending Section 2-7.20(1)(a), Article 9, Chapter 2, Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton relating to permitted uses in the I-P (Industrial Park) and I-G (General Industrial) Districts. d. Proclaim June 14, 1977, as Flag Day in Pleasanton. e. Adoption of Resolution No. 77-158, authorizing the City to participate in the Local Agency Investment Fund and designating Patsy A. Lund and James R. Walker as the City officers authorized to make deposits and withdrawals. f. Adoption of Resolution No. 77-159, accepting work completed on the installa- tion of the traffic signal at First and Neal Streets, approving payment to Steiny and Company, 27 Sheridan Street, Vallejo, in the amount of $11,414.98, and authorizing that Notice of Completion be filed.
