The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />~:OES: None <br />~3SENT: None <br /> <br />Further information Re: Use of Mailed Ballot Procedures <br />Mr. Scheidig presented his report dated }~rch 23, 1977, and the report of <br />the Acting City Manager dated March 23, 1977, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by <br />Councilmember LeClaire, that Resolution No. 77-93, approving the use of Mailed <br />Ballots for the May election and authorizing staff to work w~th the Registrar <br />of Voters to effect the most efficient method and procedure, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />~O~S: None <br />ABSEnt: None <br /> <br />Le$islation <br /> ~. Scheidig presented his report dated March 23, 1977, regarding this <br />~tter. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Herlihy, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Brandes, authorizing the City Attorney to notify theappropriate <br />legislators of the following position of the City Council on various bills: <br />(!) AB-389, support; (2) AB-76, oppose; (3) AB-20, oppose; (4) SB-164, oppose; <br />(5) SB-508, oppose; and (6) AB-108, oppose. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />.AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />!~OES: None <br />~3SENT: None <br /> <br /> Mr. Scheidig elaborated on Item 1 of the March 18, 1977, Legislative <br />Bulletin regarding League Officers announce Property Tax Reform Principles <br />at Capitol Press Conferenca and Need for New Revenue Sources Emphasized. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember <br />LeClaire, authorizing the staff to compilate tax information for transmittal <br />to Assembly and Senate Taxation and Revenue Committees. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />~OES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer requested that staff provide current information and <br />copies of Bills when discussing legislation. <br /> <br />CO>D~ICATIONS <br />Letter from Lee Amaral, Re: Annexation A~reement - William T. Marsh <br /> Mr. Campball presented a letter from Lee Amarat, Attorney, dated March 18, <br />1977, regarding Annexation Agre~nent with William T. ~rsh and possible develop- <br />mant in Annexation 54.
