The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Council agreed that a public hearing on this item should be held and re- <br />quested staff to contact Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Merchants representa- <br />tives, and other interested persons who may wish to comment on the signal or <br />the CounciI's action. <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mr. Campbell presented certification of John McWilliams ~ Industrial Waste <br />Inspection Grade I, and certification of Wilbur Angl~ as Collection System <br />Maintenance Grade IV. Council instructed staff to write congratulatory letters <br />to these two employees for the Mayor~s signature. <br /> <br /> Mr. Campbell presented a Memorandum of the Human Services Commission dated <br />March 18, 1977, requesting Council input on the questionnaire for needs assess- <br />ment survey. <br /> <br /> Mr. Campbell presented a letter from Valley Community Services District <br />dated March 25, 1977, regarding V.C.S.D. Sewage Treatment Plant Expansion - <br />Stage III. Mayor Philcox stated the Sewer Committee would be meeting early' <br />in April to discuss this matter. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />~pprovai of Conflict of Interest Code <br /> Mr. Scheidig presented the report of the Deputy City Attorney dated March <br />23, 1977 and M~rch 24, 1977, regarding this matter, and stated this should be <br />a matter for public hearing. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, <br />that Resolution No. 77-91, approving the Conflict of Interest Codes adopted by <br />the agencies of the City of Pleasanton, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: Councilmember Herlihy <br />ABS~qT: None <br /> <br />Resolution settin~ Public HearinS on Weed Abatement ProSram for 1977 <br /> Mr. Scheidig presented his report dated March 28, 1977, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilm~mber Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, <br />that Resolution No. 77-92, declaring that weeds, rubbish or refuse upon or in <br />front of certain described properties within the City of Pleasanton constitute <br />public nuisances and that the same shall be abated, and setting a public hearing <br />in regard to the same to be held in the Pleasanton Council Chambers, at 30 West <br />Angela Street, Pleasanton at 8:00 P.M., on April 11, 1977, be adopted. <br /> <br /> 8. 3/28/77 <br /> <br /> <br />
