Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> Mr. George Canessa, 3796 Pinot Court, spoke in favor of the application. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember <br />Herlihy, that Ordinance No. 818, to be read by title only and waiving further <br />reading thereof, amending Section 2-7.08(a) (Permitted and Conditional Uses) <br />of Articie 8 (C Commercial Districts), Chapter 2 (Zoning), T~tle II (Zoning <br />and Development), of the Ordinance Code of the City qf Pleasanton by adding <br />Guards' Living Quarters, be introduced. ~ <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> ~yor Philcox recessed the meeting at 9:05 P.M. <br /> ~yor Philcox reconvened the meeting at 9:10 P.M. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS (Contd.) <br />Application of the City Council to rezone approximately 53 acres located south <br />of Minnie Street between Sunol Boulevard and the eastern City Limit line from <br />1~-2500 (~lti-Family Residential) District, R-1-6500 (Single Family Residen- <br />tial) District and A (Agricultural) District to PUD (Planned Unit Development) <br />District or any other Zonin~ District that the City Council finds is appro- <br />priate (qontd'. Open.from 2-14-77 and 2-28-77) <br /> Mr. Harris stated this item had been continued from the meetings of February <br />14, 1977, and February 28, 1977, to allow the developer additional time to meet <br />with staff in order to revise plans to conform with the General Plan concept. He <br />stated that progress was being made but the developer desired more time to <br />finalize the plans. <br /> <br /> Mr. Scheidig expressed concern regarding further continuance of this item, <br />indicating that a provision of the City's Zoning Code requires Council action <br />within forty days of closing the public hearing. Also, Mr. Scheidig expressed <br />concern about the administrative problems which continuations would entail. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox declared Open the continued public hearing from the meetings <br />of February 14, 1977, and February 28, 1977. <br /> <br /> No one spoke in favor of the application. <br /> <br /> Mr. John Corley, Attorney representing the applicant, requested a continuance <br />of this item for refinement of the development plan. <br /> <br /> Mr. Ted Fairfield, ~cKay and Somps, also requested continuance of this matter. <br /> <br /> 5. 3/28/77 <br /> <br /> <br />
