The roll call vote was as follows~ A~IS: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox NOES: None ABSENT: None MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MD!BERS Councilmember LeClaire reported that an A.C.Transit Bus was speeding down b~in Street this evening. Councilmember Brandes presented a letter he had submitted to the Pleasanton Times in response to an article which appeared in that newspaper on March 8, 1977, in which Jim Jordan, speaking as a representative of CARD, accused the Pleasanton City Council of acting contrary to the voters on the LAVWMA pipeline issue. Mayor Philcox reported that Camp Parks was no longer being .considered as the site for a Womens Correctional facility. Mayor Philcox stated the Amador Varsity Girls and Boys Basketball teams had recently won championships in their Divisions, and he moved, seconded by Councilmember Mercer, that these teams receive a City Council Commendation for their outstanding achievements. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer., and Mayor Philcox NOES: None ABSENT: None Councilmember Mercer presented Assemblyman Mori's Bill on West Las Positas overcrossing, and stated he would advise Council when this Bill was scheduled for hearing. CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR Mr. Campbell presented the Calendar for the Council's information. ~KECUTIVE SESSION Mayor Philcox recessed the meeting at 11:40 P.M., to an Executive Session to discuss MacManus property.
