· After discussion, Council concurred to continue this item to the meeting <br />of March 28, 1977, for additional information and review. <br /> <br />Approval of Amendment to City Attorney~S Budget for LitiSation Expenses <br /> Mr. Scheidig presented his report dated }~rch 8, 1977, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, <br />that Resolution No. 77-81, amending the City Attorney's budget topay for liti- <br />gation expenses incurred by plaintiffs in the case of Schlies vs. Cityof <br />Pleasanton, in the amount of $703.85, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS (Contd.) <br />Letter from Chamber of Commerce~. Re: Increase in Brid~e Toll Fees <br /> Mayor Philcox presented a letter from the Chamber of Commerce, dated <br />March 10, 1977, regarding increase in bridge toll fees and reduction in <br />hours for toll free lanes. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Herlihy, to take no position on the matter of bridge toll fee <br />increase and reduction in hours for toll free lanes, pending additional <br />information. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy and Mercer <br />NOES: Councilmembers Brandes, LeClaire, and Mayor Philcox <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember <br />LeClaire, that the City Council take a stand in opposition to the increase <br />in bridge toll fees and the reduction in hours for toll free lanes, and <br />instructed staff to so advise the appropriate officials. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: Councilmember Mercer <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmembers presented various Committee Reports for the information of <br />the Council. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Herlihy reported that Zone 7 was not considering water <br />rationing at this time. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Herlihy, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, <br />authorizing the Mayor to write Zone 7 regarding cutting back on Aqueduct water <br />and water conservation. <br /> <br /> 8. 3/14/77 <br /> <br /> <br />
