REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />Report~ .Re: ReSulation of Out-Call Mas.saSe Services <br /> Mr. Scheidig presented his report dated February 8, 1977, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Herlihy, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, <br />that Ordinance No. 813, to be read by title only and waiving further reading <br />thereof, amending Article 14 (Licensing Requirement and Regulations for Massage <br />Establishments and Out-Call Massage Service), Chapter 2 (Special Permits), <br />Title IV (Health, Safety, Moral, and General Welfare), to delete out-call <br />massage service, be introduced. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember LeClaire that the Ordinance be amended <br />appropriate to eliminate the inclusion of feminine terms in the use of mas- <br />culine terms in the Ordinance. Councilmembers Herlihy and Mercer amended the <br />motion and second accordingly. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSE~r: None <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br /> There were no Communications presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmembers presented various Committee Reports for the information of <br />the .Council. <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> Councilmember Herlihy asked about a business at Neal and Arendt Streets. <br />He was inform'ed this was a Bookkeeping Service and staff would investigate. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Herlihy asked about repair to the sidewalk that was a <br />condition attached to the ice house on Main Street. He was advised the <br />property owner had one year in which to make this improvement. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer requested that information be sent to Pleasanton. <br />Meadows residents in response to questions raised at the recent neighborhood <br />meeting. <br /> <br /> Councilmember LeClaire asked about recycling activities at the new Transfer <br />Station. She was advised this Station is ahead of any other facility in Ala- <br />meda County with regard to this service. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes inquired as to when the draft ordinance regarding <br />drinking in public would be reviewed by City Council. He was advised that <br />the City Attorney was preparing a response to a request on this and other <br />matters by Mr. Miller. <br /> <br /> 9. 2/14/77 <br /> <br /> <br />
