CO}5~UNITY DISCUSSION <br /> A member of the audience raised the question of the flight pattern for the <br />airport and to determine whether or not the flight pattern had been formally <br />changed. Staff was asked to find out what the situation was on this matter and <br />report back to City Council. <br /> <br /> Some questions were raised regarding on-Street papking. Appropriate pro-. <br />visions of the Vehicle Code were explained by Mr. McCloud and Mr. Campbell. <br /> <br /> A member of the audience asked the City Council to declare March as non- <br />coffee month and declare a boycott on coffee. After some discussion Council <br />felt that this was not an appropriate item for City Council review. <br /> <br />IQ~BR PARADE <br /> Mayor Philcox'indicated that with regard to the ~qBR Good Times Parade, <br />the City Council, staff, representatives from the Chamber of Commerce, and <br />representatives from KNBR had been discussing this matter for several months. <br /> <br /> Based upon the costs of the Parade, liability, and safety questions, it <br />was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, that <br />the }~yor be authorized to send a letter to KNBR indicating that Pleasanton <br />would prefer not to host the Good Times Parade this year. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Herlihy <br /> <br />ADJOUR~.~ENT <br /> There being no further business at 9:30 P.M., Mayor Philcox adjourned the <br />Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council, to meet again in Adjourned Regular <br />Session at 5:30 P.M., on February 8, 1977, at the Pleasanton Council Chambers. <br /> <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br /> <br />WILLL-'_~-.'
