MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> January 24, 1977 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Robert Philcox called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order <br /> at 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />· -~ ROLL CALL <br />~ Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />"D Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox were present. <br />~ Mr. Edgar, City ~'~nager, Mr. Scheidig, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Assistant City <br /> Manager/Director of Public Works, Mr. Harris, Director of Planning, and ~Mr. Sooby, <br /> Director of Engineering Services, were present. <br /> <br /> AGENDA ~MEN~MENT~ <br /> There were no agenda amendments presented at this meeting. <br /> <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, <br /> that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved: <br /> <br /> a. Approval of City Council Minutes for January 3, 1977, January 10, 1977, and <br /> January 11, 1977. <br /> <br /> b. Acceptance of Report regarding action taken by the Planning Commission on <br /> items at their meeting of January 12, 1977. <br /> <br /> c. Adoption of Resolution No. 77-18, approving Agreement with Alameda County <br /> regarding Senior Citizen Transportation Program. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Metceres, and Mayor Philcox <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer abstained from voting on approval of City Council <br /> Minutes for January 11, 1977, due to his absence from that meeting. <br /> <br /> MEETIi:G OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> .... R. G. Sinclair, 4005 Stanley Boulevard, addressed the Council regarding <br /> additional commercial zoning on Stanley Boulevard. She stated this matter would <br /> be heard by the ~.ameda County Planning Commission next week, and she requested <br /> the Pleasanton City Council to make a statement to the County to delay this item <br /> for further study of the problems that could evolve from commercial development <br /> in this area. Mrs. Sinclair presented a Petition signed by 44 residents in the <br /> neighborhood which read as follows: "Re: Rezoning from R-l/Agricultural to Com- <br /> mercial on Stanley Boulevard - We, the undersigned, pppose the proposed rezoning <br /> <br /> <br />
