Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mr. Brown presented his memorandum dated December 7, 1977, regarding the <br /> City Council Agenda Planning Reports for the three months of December, January, <br /> and February. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brown presented the Water Use Report of the Director of Public Works <br /> and Utilities for the months of October, November, and December. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brown presented his report dated December 7, 1977, regarding Main Street <br /> Traffic Signals. <br /> <br /> Fir. Brown presented a list of Commissioners whose terms expire during 1978. <br />Discussion arose as to City Council position regarding the policy on reappoint- <br />ments. Council instructed the City Attorney to investigate this matter and <br />report back to Council. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> There were no reports of the City Attorney presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br /> There were no Communications presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Sewer Committee: Agreement with VCSD <br /> Mr. Brown presented his reports dated November 23, 1977, and December 8, <br />1977, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox presented a brief progress report on the situation as it is <br />to date, and stated the Sewer Committees would be meeting to discuss the changes <br />proposed by VCSD. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Mayor Philcox, and seconded by Council- <br />member Mercer, that the City begin preparation for application to the State for <br />the alternative to build the City's own sewer plant. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmembers presented various Committee Reports for the information of <br />the Council. <br /> <br />MATT~RS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, <br />that Resolution No. 77-343, that the City of Pleasanton go on record regarding <br />dissatisfaction of the 1-580 Diamond Lanes on the newly completed segment of <br />1-580, that communications be sent to Governor Brown and the seven area-elected <br />officials regarding this matter, and to request the State to renegotiate with <br />the Sierra Club for possible relaxation of the terms of their agreement, be <br />adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSEh.~: None <br /> <br /> 10. 12/13/77 <br /> <br /> <br />
