The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and ~yor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Review of Request for Annexation of 13.6 acres on Stanley Boulevard - Joe ~dden <br /> Mr. Sooby presented his report dated October 5, 1977, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> The following persons spoke in opposition to having their property on Stanley <br />Boulevard included in the request for annexation to the City: <br /> <br /> Maurice E. Jones, 4023 Stanley Boulevard <br /> Earl Augusta, 3963 Stanley Boulevard <br /> Barbara Augusta, 3963 Stanley Boulevard <br /> Sandy Sinclair, Stanley Boulevard <br /> <br /> Mr. William Hirst, Attorney, 147 Bernal Avenue, representing Joe Madden, <br />reviewed the advantages associated with annexation of the subject property to <br />the City. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Mercer, authorizing and instructing staff to file appropriate <br />information with the Local Agency Formation Commission for annexation to the <br />City of 13.6 acres on Stanley Boulevard, property of Joe Madden. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes stated he strongly felt the entire unincorporated area <br />on Stanley Boulevard should be included in the annexation request. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Herlihy expressed concern regarding the road and traffic pro- <br />blems of the area. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox reviewed the advantages of annexation to the City and urged <br />residents to consider these benefits. <br /> <br />Application by Vic Lund for Desi.8.n Approval to construct an addition to an <br />existin~ buildin~ at 164 Main Street. Zonin~ for the pro.perty is O (Office) <br />and C-O (Civic Overlay) District <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated October 5, 1977, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Vic Lund, 164 Main Street, answered questions regarding improvement of <br />dirt road around building, and parking facilities. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Herlihy, <br />that Resolution No. 77-274, approving application by Vic Lund for Design approval <br />to construct an addition to an existing building at 164 Main Street, zoning for <br />the property being 0 (Office) and C-O (Civic Overlay) District, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 7. io/ii/77 <br /> <br /> <br />
