Councilmember LeClaire requested staff to review the possibility of another <br />downtown parking lot because of the increasing difficulty of parking in the <br />downtown area. <br /> <br /> Councilmember LeClaire requested staff to contact East Bay Regional Park <br />District regarding additional safety measures that might be implemented to <br />prevent drownings at Shadow Cliffs Park. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes requested staff to investigate the possibility of an <br />ordinance to control commercial vehicle parking in residential areas. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox stated that the hedges on Valley Avenue were overgrown and <br />hazardous to traffic, and instructed staff to correct the situation. <br /> <br />APPOINT~,~ENTS TO BOARDS AND CO~R4ISSIONS <br />Hou s in~, .Aut hot i t~ Board <br /> Council interviewed Charles Burdine earlier tonight for consideration on <br />the Housing Authority Board. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Herlihy, and seconded by Councilmember LeClaire, <br />to re-advertise for the position of Komandorski Village representative on the <br />Housing Authority Board and to interview other candidates. <br />I"ne roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Human Services Commission <br /> Council interviewed Darrel Maxson earlier tonight for consideration on the <br />Human Services Commission. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Herlihy, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, <br />that Resolution No. 77-204, appointing Darrel Maxson as a member of the Human <br />Servic'es Commission to fill the unexpired term of Phyllis Bullock, said term to <br />e2<pire October 22, 1979, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />ADJOURnmENT <br /> There being no further business at 12:00 P.M., it was moved by Councilmember <br />Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that the meeting be adjourned to <br />meet again in Rkgular Session at 8:00 P.M., on August 9, 1977, at the Pleasanton <br />Council Chambers. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and ~yor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br /> <br />CLAYTO~'E.
