78-18 - First Pleasanton Investors-Tract 3148 <br /> George Oakes gave background information on this project. He reviewed the <br /> matter of the abandoned school site and stated he felt this should not be held <br /> against him. Mr. Oakes stated thebicycle path and linear park had been designed <br /> to lead to the school grounds; he felt he should not lose credit for the bike <br /> path because the school site had been abandoned. <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift explained that with no existing path, bicycles must travel in the <br /> streets and that there was no way to get to the existing paths from the project <br /> without using the street. He further explained that had the tract layout been <br /> revised to show a connection to the existing path system, a point would have <br /> been recommended by staff. <br /> <br />CC <br /> Mr. Oakes stated he had proposed a tentative map for the school site (Lot <br /> 1 of Tract 3148) but that the City would not accept the map. <br /> <br /> Mr. Oakes stated he could start construction for completion of this project <br /> immediately, and that he felt he should receive a higher point allocation for <br /> the development. <br /> <br /> There being no further public testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public <br /> hearing closed. <br /> <br /> Council decided to resolve each of the questions raised by developers in <br /> response to the staff report. <br /> 78-4 Falender-Oak Hill <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded 5y <br /> Mayor Mercer, to allocate 3 points to to Traffic Circulation for the route to <br /> the Central Business District using Foothill-Bernal. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: Councilmen Brandes and Wood <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 78-12 - FMP To~nhouses <br /> Other Environmental Considerations <br /> After discussion regarding the pump storm drain and'high traffic on Vineyard <br /> Avenue and previous Council decisions regarding this matter, it was moved by <br /> Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, to leave the Other <br /> Environmental Considerations at -1 point. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen B~andes, Butler, Kephart and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: Councilman Wood <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 78-13 - Beratlis-Mission Park <br /> Missing Links <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by <br /> CounciLmember Butler, that Missing Links receive 21 points as established by <br /> staff. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, Kephart, Wood, and ~yor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 5. 6/5/78 <br /> <br /> <br />
