MINUTES of THE MEETING of THE CITY COUNCIL May 23, 1978 CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG Mayor Kenneth Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. ROLL CALL Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Kephart, Wood, and ~yor Mercer were present. Mr. Broken, City Manager, Mr. Levine, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Director of Public Works and Utilities, Mr. Harris, Director of Planning and Community Development, Mr. Walker, Assistant to the City Manager, and Mr. Dutchover, Park and Landscape Designer, were present. AGENDAAMENDMENTS There wene no agenda amendments presented at this meeting. CONSE~]T CALENDAR It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmembar Kephart, that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved: a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 5-8-78, 5-9-78, and 5-16-78. b. Proclaim June 8 and 9, 1978, as Youth Convocation Days. c. Proclaim June 1-8, 1978, as National Safe Boating Week. d. Adoption of Ordinance No. 853, rezoning approximately 60 acres of land located between Crellin Road and the City Limit line at the end of Arbor Drive from the R-1-6500 and R-I-20,000 (Single Family Residential) Dis- tricts to the PUD (Planned Unit Development), and amending the Zoning Map of the City of Pleasanton accordingly. e. Adoption of Resolution No. 78-123, approving Claims for the month of April, 1978, in the amount of $464,864.41. f. Adoption of Resolution No. 78-124, approving License from Western Pacific Railroad Company for an Underground Storm Drainage System, St. Mary Street to Bernal Avenue. g. Adoption of Resolution No. 78-125, approving Supplemental Freeway Agreement, Route 680 from Happy Valley Road to Route 580. h. Adoption of Rasolution No. 78-126, accepting Tract 3606, Pleasanton Valley, Unit No. 19, Morrison Homes.
