Way along the extension of Muirwood <br />Drive <br /> <br />Application of Falender Homes for a .planned unit development for a medium density__ <br />residential development comprising. 51 single family~ zero-lot 'link h~mes similar <br />to the existin,5 Oakhill development, on a 12-acre site, located as described in <br />the environmental review above <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated April 17, 1978, regarding these two <br />matters. <br /> <br /> }~yor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the environmental impact <br />report and the application. <br /> <br /> Mr. Fred Falender, applicant, stated he was in general agreement with the <br />recommendations and conditions of City staff and the Planning Commission, and <br />urged Council approval of the environmental impact report and the application. <br /> <br /> Ms. Rita Tomhey, 3761 Ashwood Drive, commented on the proximity of the houses <br />to the freeway, stating there were other houses that were closer. <br /> <br /> There being no further public testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public <br />hearing closed on the environmental impact report and the application. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Butler stated he felt the energy conservation condition placed <br />on the environmental impact report was unnecessary due to new energy conservation <br />regulations required by law on all new construction. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes voiced strong opposition to any development of the <br />property on the East side of Muirwood Drive, and requested that this parcel be <br />~{cluded from the development plan due to noise problem. <br /> <br /> 6. 4/25/78 <br /> <br /> <br />
