5. City Council interviews of applicants April 4-13 <br /> <br /> 6. City Council makes appointment to Council <br /> vacancy. New Councilmember sworn into office April 14 <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Kephart, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COb~ITTEE ASSIGNMENTS <br /> 'Mayor Mercer presented ~is report dated March 20, 1978, assigning Council- <br />members to various committees. He stated that due to the vacancy on the Council, <br />there were extra assignments at this time for each Councilmember. He requested <br />Councilmembers to rank their assignments in priority order and present to him by <br />April 14, 1978, in order that he could make assignments to the new councilmember. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Wood suggested an attendance record procedure be established <br />to determine how effectively Councilmembers were serving on their assigned <br />committees. After discussion, Mayor Mercer requested Councilmember Wood to <br />prepare and present a report on this matter for consideration after the new <br />councilmember has been appointed. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Mayor Mercer recessed the meeting at 8:25 P.M., to an Executive Session to <br />discuss potential litigation. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer reconvened the meeting at 10:05 P.M. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business at 10:10 P.M., Mayor Mercer adjourned the <br />meeting, to meet again in Regular Session on March 28, 1978, 8:00 P.M., Pleasanton <br />Council Chambers. <br /> <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br /> <br />CLA~T/O/~}.'
