Statps Rep~t~ Re: Main Street Traffic SiSnal Heads <br /> Mr. Brown presented the report of the Director of Engineering Services <br />dated February 23, 1978, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Councilmembers Mercer and Brandes expressed concern regarding actions of <br />the contractor and City.staff as outlined in the report. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, <br />to approve the recommendations as contained in the report of the Director of <br />Engineering Services dated February 23, 1978. <br /> <br /> After discussion, Councilmember LeClaire withdrew her motion, and Council- <br />member Mercer withdrew his second. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, <br />that Resolution No. 78-49, accepting as complete the Main Street traffic signal <br />project, direct that a Notice of Completion be filed, and approve the final <br />payment to Steiny and Company, Inc., in the amount of $1,413.38; instructing <br />the City Attorney to contact Terry Jackson and pursue by whatever means are avail- <br />able to recover the $500.00 already paid to him; and instructing staff to pursue <br />locating another firm to make a mockup rendering of the signal head as previously <br />approved by Council for consideratioa, in order to complete the Main Street traffic <br />signals, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: Councilmember Mercer <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer suggested an amendment to the motion that no additional <br />action be taken on the traffic signal heads until recovery of the money from <br />Terry Jackson. The motion died for lack of a second. <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> There were matters for the information of the Council presented at this <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Consideration of Residential Allocation Ordinance <br /> Mr. Swift presented the report of the Director of Planning and Community <br />Development dated February 28, 1978, regarding this matter, and reviewed the <br />actions required to be taken by Council to implement the Residential Alloca- <br />tion Program. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Herlihy requested this item be continued to a later date as <br />he had not had sufficient time to review the report. <br /> <br /> After discussion, Mayor Philcox continued the consideration of the <br />Residential Allocation Program Ordinance to March 6, 1978, 5:00 P.M., <br />Pleasanton Council Chambers. All Councilmembers concurred. <br /> <br />Set Public Hearing on AmbUlance Com_pj~y's Home Occupation Permit <br /> After discussion, Council concurred to schedule a public hearing regarding <br />review of the Planning CoFanission decision relative to the Ambulance Company's <br />Home Occupation Permit for March 13, 1978, 8:00 P.M., Pleasanton Council Chambers. <br /> <br /> 6. 3/1/78 <br /> <br /> <br />
