CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmember LeClaire reported on a meeting this date with Senator Holmdahl <br />and area representatives regarding 1-580 Diamond Lanes, stating that she felt <br />some progress had been made in this regard. <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> Councilmember Mercer requested that the Pleasanton population signs on 1-580 <br />be updated to reflect the correct population figure. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer requested a policy be established regarding Council- <br />members appealing a matter. After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember <br />Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Philcox, establishing a policy that any <br />Councilmember be allowed to appeal any item within the time period without <br />consulting other Councilmembers and being exempt from the filing fee. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes requested a report regarding whether or not aluminum <br />wiring had been used in any homes built in Pleasanton. He stated he felt owners <br />should be warned of the dangers of this wiring. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes stated he had received calls regarding dumping of <br />garbage in vacant areas in Vintage Hills and motorcycle riding in Mission Park, <br />and requested these areas be posted to prohibit such activities. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR <br /> Mr. Bro~,~ presented the Calendar for the information of the Councilmembers. <br /> <br />ADJOUR~LMENT <br /> There being no further business at 12:30 A.M., it was moved by Councilmember <br />Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that the meeting be adjourned to <br />meet again in Special Session on January 30, 1978, 8:00 P.M., Pleasanton Council <br />Chambers. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br /> <br />CL.~YTON~. ~, CITY CLERK <br /> <br /> 11. 1/24/78 <br /> <br /> <br />
