MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> January 10, 1978 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Robert Philcox called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order' <br />at 7:30 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox were present. Council- <br />member LeClaire was absent. Mr. Brown, City Manager, Mr. Campbell, Director of <br />Public Works and Utilities, Mr. Scheidig, City Attorney, Mr. Harris, Director of <br />Planning and Community Development, and Mr. Walker, Assistant to the City Manager, <br />were present. <br /> <br />AGENDAAMENDMENTS <br /> Councilmember Mercer requested that item 12a - Sexually Explicit Report and <br />Ordinance, be moved to be heard as item 6b. Council concurred. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Herlihy, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, <br /> that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved: <br /> <br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 12-6-77 and 12-13-77. <br /> <br />b. Adoption of Ordinance No. 840, rezoning a 10-acre site located between Hopyard <br /> Road and Valley Avenue behind the Alpha Beta Shopping Center and including both <br /> sides of the future Northway Road from the RM-1500 and RM-2500 (High Density <br /> Multiple Residential) Districts to the PUD (Planned Unit Development High Den' <br /> sity Residential) District, and approving the development plan for the site <br /> which would contain 39 (one and two story) duplex structures, subject to <br /> modified conditions as presented by the Director of Planning and Community <br /> Development; subject to appraisal of Heatherlark Park by developer or nego- <br /> tiations with staff; and amending the Zoning Map of the City of Pleasanton <br /> accordingly. <br /> <br /> c. Adoption of Ordinance No. 841, amending in its entirety Chapter 10, Title II <br /> (Zoning and Development) of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton, to <br /> the Preservation of Trees on Private Property. <br /> <br />d. Proclaim January as National Volunteer Blood Donor Month. <br /> <br /> e. Adoption of Resolution No. 78-1, approving Claims for December, 1977, in the <br /> amount of $370,351.68. <br /> <br /> f. Adoption of Resolution No. 78-2, approving award of bid to Flexible Pipe and <br /> Tool Company, for the purchase of one hydraulic sewer rodder, in the amount <br /> of $7,060.35. <br /> <br /> <br />
