Mayor Mercer recessed the meeting at 9:35 P.M. <br /> <br /> }~yor Mercer reconvened the meeting at 9:45 P.M. <br /> <br /> SPECIAL REPORTS (Contd.) <br /> Gravel Truck Route Study <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated November 7, 1978, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brown read an Agreement between the City and the Gravel Companies executed <br /> in 1972 allowing gravel trucks to use Frist Street and Sunol Boulevard for their <br /> route and stipulating certain conditions. <br /> <br /> Council discussion ensued regarding the possible elimination of gravel truck <br /> traffic in Pleasanton and how this might be accomplished. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Mayor Mercer, that <br />staff prepare a report for review by City Council on January 9, 1979, regarding <br />interpretation of the Agreement between the City and the Gravel Companies, and <br />ways it could be amended or terminated, and a draft ordinance that would elimi- <br />nate all gravel truck traffic from the City of Pleasanton. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Kephart, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Butler <br /> <br /> Council took no action on the report of the Director of Planning and Community <br />Development dated DIovember 7, 1978, regarding alternate route for gravel truck <br />traffic. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AN~ COmmISSIONS <br />Actions Taken by the Plannin~ Commission on Items at their Special Meeting of <br />11-1-78 <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated November 6, 1978, regarding this matter <br />for the information of the Council. No action was required or taken by Council <br />on this item. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />.Bequest from Board of Supervisors~ Re: Annexation~ Zoning and Services for 180 <br />acres in Mohr-h~rtin Avenues area <br />(Continued from 10-24-78) <br /> Mr. Brown presented his report dated October 18, 1978, regarding this matter, <br />which was continued from the meeting of October 24, 1978, to allow public input <br />on the item from residents in the affected area. Mr. Brown advised that the Board <br />of Supervisors had continued the item to their meeting of December 7, 1978, at the <br />request of Council. <br /> <br /> Mr. Everett Kamp, 3775 Trenery Drive, owner of 57 acres, stated he would like <br />to have the area limited to five acre parcels and had no objection to septic tanks. <br />He stated he would like to review the conditions of a pre-annexation agreement <br />before making any decision regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. John Van de Rovart, 4300 Del Valle, representing three property owners, <br />stated the property o~ners had no desire to be annexed to the City of Pleasanton <br />because of the unavailability of water and sewer. <br /> <br /> Mr. Bob Cooper, Trenery Drive, stated he favored five acre parcels and that <br />he was satisfied with the services of the County therefore objected to annexation <br />at this time. <br /> <br /> 7. 11/14/78 <br /> <br /> <br />
