293 <br /> <br />CoOperative Agreement with Alameda County for HCD Program <br /> Mr. Brown presented his report dated October 18, 1978, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, <br />that Resolution No. 78-274, approving the Cooperative Agreement with Alameda <br />County for the Housing and Community Development Program, and authorizing the <br />Mayor to sign the Agreement, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, Kephart, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Request from Board of Supervisors~ Re: Annexation~ Zonin~ and Services for ].80 <br />acres in Mohr-Martin Avenues Area ' <br /> Mr. Brown presented his report dated October 18, 1978, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Everett Kamp, 3775 Trenery Drive, requested Council to continue this <br />item until all residents in the area could attend a City Council meeting to allow <br />their input on the matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brown advised that the Board of Supervisors would be considering this <br />matter on November 2, 1978. <br /> <br /> After discussion, Council instructed staff to contact the Board of Supervisors <br />and request them to continue their item on this subject until after the next City <br />Council meeting on November 14, 1978, to allow residents in the Mohr-Martin area <br />to present their comments on this matter. <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mr. Brown presented the report of the Chief Building Inspector dated October <br />17, 1978, regarding construction for the first quarter of Fiscal Year 1978-79. <br /> <br />Recommended Chan~e to Ordinance Re~fd.~ng Residential Construction Tax <br /> Mr. Brown presented the report of the Chief Building Inspector dated October <br />19, 1978, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, <br />that Ordinance No. 869, to be read by title only and waiving further reading <br />thereof, amending Section 1-6.56, Exceptions of the Residential Construction <br />Tax to delete from Subsection (b) the words "Provided that the addition thereto <br />does not result in the creation of an additional bedroom", be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, Kephart, Wood, and }~yor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSE~I: None <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />Draft Ordinance Re: ReqU.ir~n~.
