Urban Coupty 1979 <br /> Appl.~cation for Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 Funds, as amended <br /> (Continued Open from 10-10-78) <br /> Mr. Harris presented his reporm dated October 19, 1978, and October 20, 1978, <br /> regarding this matter. He stated that Project 1, Housing and Commercial Structure <br /> Rehabilitation (jointly funded with the City of Livermore) had been turned down by <br /> the City of Livermore on October 23, 1978, therefore it should be eliminated from <br /> the list of projects to be considered by Council. <br /> <br />CC Hayor Mercer declared the continued public hearing open. <br /> <br /> Hr. Michael Parsons, Executive Director of the Pleasanton Housing Authority, <br /> stated the Housing Authority Board would like for the City to request funds for <br /> a City-wide housing survey, and would also like to know the City staff's reason- <br /> ing in establishing priorities for projects. Mr. Harris explained the procedures <br /> used. <br /> <br /> There being no further public testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public <br /> hearing closed. <br /> <br /> After considerable discussion, the following actions were taken by Council <br /> --- establishing the ranking of projects for first year Housing and Community Develop- <br /> ment Act funds: <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, <br /> that Pleasanton Gardens Improvements be designated as Priority No. 1. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Brandes and Butler <br /> NOES: Councilmen Kephart, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It vas moved by Councilmember Wood that Kottinger Place Improvements be <br /> designated as Priority No. 1. <br /> <br /> The motion died for lack of a second. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes that the Southern Pacific Railroad <br /> Park Acquisition be designated as Priority No. 1. <br /> <br /> The motion died for lack of a second. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Mayor Mercer, that <br /> the Downto~m Parking Lot be designated as Priority No. 1. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: CoUncilmen Butler, Kephart, Wood, and }~yor Hercer <br /> NOES: Councilman Brandes <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 5. 10/24/78 <br /> <br /> <br />
