Mr. Brown <br /> stated he would be meeting with this group to explain the assessment district <br /> process. <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> LeaSue of California Cities Cases <br /> Mr. Levine presented an oral report regarding request from the League of <br /> California Cities to join them and other cities as amicus curiae, at no cost <br /> o the City, in the cases of Social and Labor Party vs. City of Glendale, Ducey <br /> vs. Argo Sales and the State of California, and the Berkeley Bottle Ordinance <br /> case. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by <br /> Councilmember ~tler, to support the League of California Cities, in Amicus <br /> Curiae Brief in the Social and Labor Party vs. City of Glendale case. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, Kephart, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilman Wood <br /> <br /> 9. 10/10/78 <br /> <br /> l <br /> <br /> <br />
