MINUTES of THE MEETING of THE CITY COUNCIL October 3, 1978 CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG ~!~yor Kenneth Mercer called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. ROLL CkLL Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Kephart, Wood, and Mayor Mercer were present. Mr. Bro~, City Manager, Mr. Levine, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Director of Public Works and Utilities, and Mr. Harris, Director of Planning and Community Develop- ment, were present. AGEI~A A/~E~MEN~S Mr. Brown advised there would be an Executive Session at the conclusion of the meeting to discuss personnel and litigation. CONSE~ CALE}DAR It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Kephart, that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved: a. Approval of City Council Minutes for August 29, 1978, September 5, 1978, and September 12, 1978. b. Proclaim October 8-14, 1978, as Fire Prevention Week. c. Proclaim October 8-15, 1978, as Symphony Week. d. Adoption of Resolution No. 78-244, approving Claims for the month of August, i978~ in the amount of $814,347.03. e. Adoption of Resolution No. 78-245, approving intent to implement the ABAG EnvizonmentalManagement Plan. f. Adoption of Resolution No. 78-246, approving Final Map and Improvement Plans for Tract 4119, Vintage Hills Estates, H. C. Elliott, Inc. g. Adoption of Resolution No. 78-247, approving Final Map and Improvement Plans for Tract 3996, Northway Downs, Morrison Homes, and accepting from Morrison Homes dedications for right-of-way. h. Adoption of Resolution No. 78-248, approving Resolution of Intention to vacate a portion of North~ay Road., and to set a public hearing regarding this matter on October 10, 1978. i. Adoption of Resolution No. 78-249, authorizing the execution of a modifica- tion of agreement with the Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conserva- tion District for the use of certain flood control channels for recreational purposes.
