It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Mayor Mercer, that <br />Resolution No. 78-227, a Resolution of Necessity to acquire a flag-shaped <br />parcel in fee from Western Pacific Railroad Company's Parcel No. 946-3630-5 <br />of approximately 0.77+ acre for the purpose of constructing a pump station <br />along the line, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kephart <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mayor Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that <br />Resolution No. 78-228, a Resolution of Necessity to acquire a 2.9 acre parcel <br />from the land owned by Alfred Fromm; the purpose of this acquisition is for a <br />pump station, the sewer line and an access road, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kephart <br /> <br /> Following the adoption of these resolutions, the City Attorney will file <br />eminent domain complaints and Orders for Pre-judgment Possession on each of <br />the properties. <br /> <br />CO~LMUNICATIONS <br /> Mayor Mercer presented a letter from Christine Pearson, Chairperson for the <br />Housing Authority Board of Commissioners, dated August 30, 1978, requesting a <br />joint meeting be held between the City Council, Housing Authority Board, and <br />Komandorski Tenants, to discuss the proposed takeover of the Housing Authority <br />by the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Butler, to discuss the report that will be presented at the City <br />Council Meeting of September 12, 1978, then meet with the Housing Authority <br />Board and Komandorski Tenants on September 18, 19, or 20. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, and Wood <br />NOES: Mayor Mercer <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kephart <br /> <br /> After further discussion, Council scheduled a joint meeting with the Housing <br />Authority Board and Komandorski Tenants to be held on September 18, 1978, 7:30 <br />P.M., at Komandorski Village. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business at 6:30 P.M., Mayor Mercer adjourned the <br />meeting, to meet again in Regular Session on September 12, 1978, 8:00 P.M., <br />in the Pleasanton Council Chambers. <br /> <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br /> <br />c YT'o F- c'i nr CLER ' <br /> 2. 9/5/78 <br /> <br /> l <br /> <br /> <br />
