Mayor Mercer recessed the meeting at 10:00 P.M. <br /> <br /> ~yor Mercer reconvened the meeting at 10:10 P.M. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS (Contd.) <br />Application of the Planning Commission to amend Article 16~ Chapter 2'~ Title II <br />of the Ordinance Code of the Ci.ty of Pleasanton as it relates to parkipg require- <br />ments for liquor stores <br /> (Continued from 6-27-78~ for language clarification) <br /> (Continued Open from 7-25-78) <br /> Councilmember Brandes stated he would abstain from participation.on this item <br />due to conflict of interest. <br /> <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated July 18, 1978, regarding this matter. <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to this item. <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, <br />that Ordinance No. 860, to be read by title only and waiving further reading <br />thereof, amending Subsection 3 (Office, Commercial and Industrial Uses not in <br />C-N or C-R Districts) of Section 2-9.16 (Schedule of Off-Street Parking Space <br />Requirements), of Article 16 (Off-Street Parking), Chapter 2 (Zoning), Title II <br />(Zoning and Development) of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton relat- <br />ing to Liquor Stores Parking Spaces, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />~OES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAINED:Councilman Brandes <br /> <br />Io~TTERS CONTII~3ED FOR DECISION <br /> There were no matters continued for decision presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> There were no Special Reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND CO}~IISSIONS <br /> There were no reports of Boards and Commissions presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Residential Allocation Program Designation for Retirement Centers <br /> (Continued from 7-25-78) <br /> Mr. Broom presented his report dated July 18, 1978, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Robert Myers, 717 E. Angela Street, stated he felt that since retirement <br />centers were a quality of life for senior citizens which provide a preventative <br />health service that they should be exempt from the Residential Allocation Program <br />under commercial or institutional status.
