The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Kephart, and Wood <br />NOES: Councilman Butler and Mayor Mercer <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Due to the above action, no Council action was necessary on .the review of a <br />negative declaration to fezone an approximately 1.1 acre parcel of land located <br />at the northwest corner of Johnson Industrial Drive and Hopyard Road, from the <br />I-G (General Industrial) District to the C-C (Central Commercial) District, or <br />any other zoning district consistent with the General Plan. <br /> <br />~pplication of ~he City of Pleasanton to fezone a 13.6 acre parcel of land located <br />on the north side of Stanley Boulevard bounded on the north b~ the Western Pacific <br />Railroad and on the east by the Southern Pacific Railroad to the C-S (Commercial <br />Service) D!~tr~ct or ~ny other zonin~ district which the Cit~ finds to be appro- <br />priate and in conformance with the General Plan <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated August 2, 1978, regarding this matter, <br />recommending that the property be prezoned to the "A" District. Me advised that <br />a negativ~ declaration had previously been approved for prezoning this property <br />to the C-S District but if Council determined to prezone the property to the "A" <br />District, a negative declaration finding would have to be made for this zoning <br />district. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> Mr. William Hirst, Attorney representing Joseph 1.~dden, requested the property <br />be prezoned to the "A" District on an interim basis so that his client will have <br />time to assess the progress made toward relocation of the Southern Pacific rail- <br />road tracks which run in front of the subject property. <br /> <br /> There being no further public testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public <br />hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, <br />that Resolution No. 78-199, determining, on the basis of a review of initial <br />environnental study done for this project, that no significant environmental <br />impact would occur as outlined in the City's guidelines and that a Negative <br />Declaration is appropriate to prezone a 13.6 acre parcel of land located on the <br />north ~ide of Stanley Boulevard bounded on the north by the Western Pacific <br />Railroad and on the east by the Southern Pacific Railroad to the "A" (Agricul- <br />tural) District, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, Kephart, Wood, and ~yor Mercer <br />NO~S: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Kephart, <br />that Ordinance No. 859, to be read by title only and waiving further reading <br />thereof, to prezone a 13.6 acre parcel of land located on the north side of <br />Stanley Boulevard bounded on the north by the Western Pacific Railroad and on <br />the east by the Southern Pacific Railroad to the "A" (Agricultural) District, <br />amd amending the Zoning Map of the City of Pleasanton accordingly, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, Kephart, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NO~S: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 3. 8/8/78 <br /> <br /> <br />
