CO>~NICATIONS <br /> There were no Communications presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmembers presented various Committee Reports for the information of the <br />Council. <br /> <br />I&iTTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL ME}|BERS <br /> Vice Mayor Brandes requested that the matter of trucks throughout the City <br />be investigated as well as those on Johnson Industrial Drive. <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Brandes requested staff to investigate the problem of cars for <br />sale being parked on various streets in the City. <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Brandes stated he would like to have peripheral zoning in the <br />downtown reviewed at the same time as the R-1-8,500, etc. zoning report is <br />prepared. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Wood asked if a City tax could be imposed on cars for sale <br />that are parked on City streets. He was advised this could not be done. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Wood asked if a Dog Feces Ordinance could be adopted for <br />better control of dogs in parks and private property. tte was advised that <br />the City has a dog leash law for this purpose and an anneal control officer <br />on duty. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Wood inquired about completion of the Bike Trails report. <br />Staff advised that a meeting between various members of the City Council, <br />Planning Conunission, and Park and Recreation Commission would be scheduled <br />to discuss this matter. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Kephart stated he felt the City should explore the possibility <br />of receiving funds under AB-90 for criminal justice court probation and to find <br />out what share has been designated to Alameda County. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR <br /> Mr. Brown presented the Calrendar for the information of the Council. He <br />also suggested the Regular City Council Meeting of August 22, 1978, be changed <br />to August 29, 1978, as two members of Council would be absent on August 22. <br />Council concurred with the change. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Vice Mayor Brandes recessed the meeting at 11:00 P.M., to an Executive Session <br /> to discuss litigation and personnel. <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Brandes reconvened the meeting at 11:30 P.M. <br /> <br />ADJOUR~R4ENT <br /> There being no further business at 11:35 P.M., it was moved by Councilmember <br />Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Kephart, that the meeting be adjourned to meet <br />again in Regular Session on August 8, 1978, 8:00 P.M., Pleasanton Council Chambers. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Kephart, Wood, and Vice Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Butler and Mayor Mercer <br /> <br /> 8. 7/25/78 <br /> <br /> <br />
