MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> July 25, 1978 <br /> <br />PRESENTATION TO PLEASANTON ELITE GIRLS SOCCER TEAM <br /> Vice Mayor Brandes, on behalf of the City Council, presented a Commendation <br />to the Pleasanton Elite Girls Soccer Team, congratulating them on winning the <br />Western Regional Championship for 17 and 18 year olds, and wishing them good luck <br />in their competition at NorCup 78 in Oslo, Norway. Vice Mayor Brandes also pre- <br />sented them with a California Flag to be given to their hosts in Oslo, Norway. <br />The girls thanked the City Council for their support and for providing fields for <br />all youth in Pleasanton to play Soccer. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Vice Mayor Brandes called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br />8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Kephart, Wood, and Vice ~yor Brandes were present. Councilmember <br />Butler and ~yor Mercer were absent. Mr. Brown, City Manager, Mr. Levine, City <br />Attorney, %,Ir. Campbell, Director of Public Works and Utilities, Mr. Harris, <br />Director of Planning and Community Development, and Mr. Caporusso, Director of <br />Recreation and Human Resources, were present. <br /> <br />AGEN~A ~ME~MENTS <br /> Mr. Brown requested the following amendments be made to the agenda: <br /> <br />item lOf - Adoption of 1976 Uniform Building, Plumbing, Electrical and Fire <br /> Codes with Modifications and Amendments, removed from the agenda. <br /> <br />item 6a - Appeal of Wendell Collins to a determination that an Environmental <br /> Impact Report is required for a hillside residential subdivision <br /> proposed for the approximately 50 acre parcel of land located north <br /> and west of the end of Longview Drive (Contd. Open from 6-13-78 and <br /> 7-11-78), be continued to September 12, 1978. <br /> <br />item 10a - Residential Allocation Program Designation for Retirement Centers, be continued to August 8, 1978. <br /> <br />item 10e - Increase in Sewer Service Charges, be continued to August 8, 1978. <br />add item 10h - I{odification of Interceptor Sewer Specifications. <br /> <br />Add item lld - Approval of Agreement between City and R. L. Kautz Insurance <br /> Company for Self-Insurance Administrative Services. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brown stated there would be an Executive Session to discuss personnel <br />and litigation. <br /> <br /> <br />
