After review of the Miscellaneous Projects, it was moved by Councilmember <br />Kephart, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that the four miscellaneous pro- <br />jects be approved as submitted in the Capital Improvement Project report. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Kephart, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> After discussion regarding ECHO, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, <br />and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that the Non-Capital Improvement Expendi- <br />tures be approved as listed in the Capital Improvement Program report. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Kephart, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABS~NT: None <br /> <br /> This concluded the review of the Capital Improvement Program. <br /> <br /> There being no further public testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public <br />hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, <br />that Resolution No. 78-185, approving the Capital Improvement Program for 1978-79 <br />with amendments made by Council, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Kephart, Wood, and ~yor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSb~: None <br /> <br /> Councilmember Wood requested that letters of commendation be sent to Ken <br />Lamband A1 Dutchover for their outstanding service to the City in the Engineer- <br />ing Department. Mr. Brown stated several other employees had resigned or would <br />be laid off, with good service to the City. <br /> <br /> Council commended staff on their preparation of the Budget and Capital <br />Improvement Program. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmembers presented various Committee Reports for the information of the <br />Council. <br /> <br /> After discussion regarding the Library, Council instructed staff to write a <br />letter to the Board of Supervisors urging favorable consideration of reopening <br />the Pleasanton Library at a higher service level than contemplated. <br /> <br />Y~TTEKS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> Councilmember Wood stated he felt the Bike Path project should proceed as <br />soon as possible. Fmyor Mercer suggested this matter be referred back to the <br />Planning Commission and Park and Recreation Commission for their recommendations. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer requested staff to investigate the charges of irregularities <br />in the Meadowview Subdivision referred to by Mr. Fiorio, regarding side yard <br />setbacks. <br /> <br /> 10. 7/11/78 <br /> <br /> <br />
