It was moved'by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Mayor Brandes, finding <br />that a General Plan amendment is not required to modify the open space designation <br />for the site of the Planned Unit Development located just north of Longview Drive <br />if the density is no greater than 5 du to the acre. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler that the urbanization line with regard <br /> to the subject property requires no General Plan amendment. <br /> <br /> The motion died for lack of a second <br /> <br /> It was moved by Mayor Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, that <br />Resolution No. 79-106, determining that a General Plan amendment is required con- <br />cerning the urbanization line for an ll-lot residential Planned Unit Development <br />proposed on 55 acres of the 73 acre site located west of Foothill Road and north <br />of Longview Drive, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: Councilman Butler <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by ~myor Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember <br />Butler, to have the Planning Commission consider the entire 73 acres of this pro- <br />ject as a whole and recommend appropriate zoning designation. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Proposed Annexation of 35± acre parcel owned b~ Ernest E. Pestaria <br /> Mr. Brown presented his report dated June 21, 1979, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Ted Fairfield, 1811 Santa Rita Road, representing the applicant, stated <br />his client concurred with the staff report and added that he had already requested <br />prezoning. He stated the development would include upper cost housing. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by }~yor <br />Brandes, that Resolution No. 79-107, indicating the City Countills willingness to <br />annex the 35 acre property of Ernest E. Pestana and directing staff to begin <br />annexation proceedings with LAFCO, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Due to City Council policy regarding whether or not to continue a City Council <br />meeting after 11:30 P.M., it was moved by Councilmember Kephart, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Mercer, to continue the meeting and review the remaining items on <br />the agenda. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 10. 6/26/79 <br /> <br /> <br />
