The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilman Kephart and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: Councilmen Mercer and Wood <br />ABSENT: Councilman Butler <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, <br />instructing staff to prepare a report for review at the Budget hearings re- <br />garding the hiring of police officers and firefighters in increments of one <br />additional man per department, and its effect on the department. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Kephart, Mercer, I~od, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Butler <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mr. Brown presented the Information Report of the Director of Planning and <br />Community Development dated March 13, 1979, regarding the Department of Planning <br />and Community Development Annual Activity Report. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brown presented his report'dated April 2, 1979, regarding the City Council <br />Agenda Planning Report for April, May and June. <br /> <br />ChanSe Order to Extend Water Line at StoneridSe Shopping Center <br /> Mr. Brown requested that Council take action approving a Change Order to con- <br />struct a water line at Stoneridge Shopping Center. He stated this was a budgeted <br />item of $140,000 in the 1979-80 Budget but it could be done by the contractor <br />working on the site at the present time at an estimated cost of $135,000. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Mayor <br />Brandes, that Resolution No. 79-54, approving a Change Order for the extension <br />of a water line to the Stoneridge Shopping Center, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and l.~yor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Butler <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> The report of the City Attorney was presented as item 8d on the agenda. <br /> <br />COb~4UNICATIONS <br /> There were no communications presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR <br /> Mr. Brown presented the Calendar for the information of the Council. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes presented his memorandum dated April 3, 1979, appointing <br /> Councilmembers to the various Council Committees and Liaison Assignments for <br /> 1979-80. <br /> <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Mayor Brandes recessed the meeting at 9:50 P.M., to an Executive Session to <br /> discuss personnel. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes reconvened the meeting at 10:55 P.M. <br /> <br /> 7. 4/10/79 <br /> <br /> <br />
