MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> April 10, 1979 <br /> <br /> CALL TO OP~ER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Frank Brandes, Jr., called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to <br /> order at 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes were present. Council- <br />member Butler was absent. Mr. Brown, City Manager, Mr. Levine, City Attorney, <br />Mr. Campbell, Director of Public Works and Utilities, Mr. Harris, Director of <br />Planning and Community Development, Mr. McCloud, Police Chief, Mr. Hill, Fire <br />Chief, and Mr. Klenk, Fire Marshal, were present. <br /> <br /> AGE~A ~,~EN~MENTS <br /> Mr. Broom advised there would be an Executive Session at the conclusion of <br /> this meeting to discuss personnel. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brown requested that an item be added as item 4e - Resolution Approving <br />Plans and Specifications and Authorizing a Call for Bids; Assessment District <br />No. 1974-5 - Stoneridge. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer requested that item 13a - Report, Re: Gravel Truck <br />Traffic be moved to be discussed after item 8c on the agenda. Council concurred. <br /> <br /> }~yor Brandes requested that item 4d - Resolution Approving the Destruction <br />of Certain City Records, be amended so as to reflect retention of the City Council <br />meeting tapes for an indefinite time, as he felt it was important to have these <br />tapes for record and reference. Council concurred. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes stated the City Council Minutes of April 3, 1979, should be <br /> corrected to show Councilmember Wood absent at that meeting instead of present. <br /> <br /> CONSEh~ CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Kephart, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, <br />that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, as amended thereto, be <br />approved: <br /> <br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 3-27-79, 3-29-79, and 4-3-79 as amended. <br />b. Proclaim April 15-21, 1979, as Private Property Week. <br />c. Proclaim April 22-28, 1979, as Volunteer Recognition Week. <br /> <br />d. Adoption of Resolution No. 79-49, approving the Destruction of Certain City <br /> Records, with the exception of the City Council meeting tapes. <br /> <br />e. Adoption of Resolution No. 79-50, approving plans and specifications and <br /> authorizing Call for Bids on Assessment District No. 1974-5, Stoneridge <br /> Street Improvements. <br /> <br /> <br />
