g. Adoption of Resolution No. 79-43, approving plans and specifications and <br /> Call for Bids, Assessment District No. 1974-3, Stoneridge Drive Signals <br /> and Lighting. <br /> <br /> h. Adoption of Resolution No. 79-44, approvtng the application of Earl Adams <br /> Tile and Coping Company to continue the use of a holding tank at 3675 Santa <br /> Rita Road to provide sewer service for the three buildings known as 3657, <br /> 3663 and 3675 Santa Rite Road and authorizing the appropriate City staff to <br /> execute the agreement between the City and Mr. Adams. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> Councilmember Mercer requested Council consideration regarding length of <br />Council meetings. He stated that Livermore City Council had a vote at approxi- <br />mately 11:30 P.M., to decide whether or not to discuss any further items on the <br />agenda or to adjourn the meeting, and that he would like to see this policy <br />tried by the Pleasanton City Council. After discussion, Council determined to <br />have a vote at approximately 11:30 P.M., to determine whether or not to continue <br />or to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes stated that several weeks ago Council requested a report re- <br />garding stronger control of littering at shopping centers, garbage pickup areas, <br />etc., and that now he would like that report expanded to include the considera- <br />tion of other potential litter problems such as dumping of newspapers in fields <br />and related problems. Mr. Brown advised this would be added to the report, <br />which should be completed sometime in May. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes requested that a letter be sent to H. C. Elliott Development <br />Company, encouraging an early solution to the various problems in the Vintage <br />Hills area, that H. C. Elliott agreed to resolve several months ago. Council <br />concurred. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes requested that Council' consider taking a stand regarding Dublin- <br />San Ramon incorporation. After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Butler, <br />and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that Resolution No. 79-45, declaring that the <br />City of Pleasanton would not oppose attempts to incorporate Dublin and San Ramon, <br />be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL CO~{ITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmembers presented various Committee Reports for the information of <br />the Council. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> No one in the audience addressed the Chair. <br /> <br /> 3/29/79 <br /> <br /> <br />
