The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, Kephart, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Mr. Joe Larive, 2411 Skylark Way, pledged his support and that of area <br />residents regarding citizen cooperation for the completion of Woodthrush Park. <br /> <br />~.~TTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> Councilmember Wood stated that there was lots of debris in the Arroyo behind <br />Creeks Bend development and he requested staff to contact the developer to get <br />this unsightly litter cleaned up. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL CO~R.IITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmembers presented various Committee Reports for the information of <br />the Council. <br /> <br /> Cit ' <br /> Councilmember Wood stated that he had presented the y s position at the <br />ABAG General Assembly on January 13, regarding opposition to the ramp project <br />and favoring opening of the diamond lanes on 1-580. After discussion, Council <br />instructed staff to write Caltrans reiterating the City~s position on this matter. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Kephart presented a questionnaire to Council for their com- <br />pletion regarding services desired at the Library. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Betty Rider, 4393 Mirador Drive, inquired as to why the lights on Main Street <br />were on during the day. Mayor Mercer stated these lights should not be on during <br />daytime hours and requested staff to check into this matter with PG&E. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Appeal by Ray Kidder and Anna Martinsen of a decision of the Board of Adjustment <br />~.pproyin~ ~ variance to allow the subdivision of a 21 acre parcel located imme- <br />diate.~y west of Oakland Avenue about 500 feet north of Mohr Avenue into four lots, <br />one of which would not have..the required lot width and two of which would not have <br />the required .!o.t. size~ the property is. zoned A (Agricultural) District <br /> Mr. H~rris presented his report dated January 16, 1979, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> The following persons spoke in favor of the appeal: <br /> <br /> Ray Kidder, 637 E. Angela Street <br /> Anna Martinsen, 1890 Brooktree <br /> Josephine Harding, 540 E.
